Book Design
I designed two imagery-rich natural history conservation books for my non-profit client. Both books were published 9-3/4" x 13-1/4” oversize hardcover featuring stunning photography, scientific illustrations, cartoons, information graphics and a compelling nonfiction narrative. My roles included creative/art direction, design, illustration and layout, map and infographic design, production artwork, pre-press and print/binding management with our Hong Kong printer.
Why I Care About Sharks
Designed to compete on a retail level Sharks is first a textbook for a comprehensive school curriculum package targeted to english-speaking international students ages 9 to 13 and is 72-pages long.
Consuming Coral Reefs
Consuming Coral Reefs, the second book, addresses the changing landscape of our oceans’ coral reefs and the impact it is having on our world. Reefs was written for mid teens and weighed-in at 80 pages.
